In a major announcement yesterday, Boyne Resorts announced a ten year expansion plan at Loon named Flight Path 2030.

For the 2020-21 season, the East's first 8 person chairlift will be installed, replacing the Kancamagus Quad. The new Doppelmayr D-Line bubble chairlift will feature heated seats, automatic safety bars, and an adjustable loading carpet. With United States Forest Service analysis now complete, construction on the new chair is expected to begin in April.

In addition to the new lift, more mountain bike trails will be constructed (the new lift will be designed for bikes) and additional automated snowmaking hydrants will be installed.

By 2025-2026, Boyne plans to redevelop West Basin, expand the summit cafeteria, add North Peak terrain (possibly the proposed 'Son of Walking Boss'), replace the Seven Brothers Triple with a high speed quad (possibly the Kancamagus Quad), and upgrade the Lincoln Express Quad.

The final five years of the plan include a redeveloped South Peak base area, upgrades of the gondola and North Peak Quad, expanding the North Peak Camp III lodge, and fully automating the snowmaking system.

Notably absent from the plan is the South Peak beginner area, which received White Mountain National Forest approval in 2014.
