Killington Snowmaking, 11/2/2019


After a warmer than normal October, snowmaking temperatures finally arrived in New England on November 1. With a few dozen hours under its belt, Killington has announced it will open on Sunday, November 3.

Killington opened in October six of the ten seasons in the 2010s. Four of the ten seasons in the 2000s were October starts. The 2019-20 opening day will be for Killington passholders only and will feature the new North Ridge Quad chairlift.

Sunday River Snowmaking, 11/2/2019


Meanwhile, Okemo, Sunday River, and Wildcat have fired up snowmaking. As of Saturday night, opening dates have not been announced.
