Killington

Killington will be under new ownership this fall, the resort announced today. A group led by Phill Gross and Michael Ferri will retain Killington's management team. POWDR will retain a minority stake in the business. The sale price was not announced.

The largest ski resort in New England by many metrics, Killington has been operated by POWDR since the unfurling of the American Skiing Company in 2007. Improvements during POWDR's tenure included the installation of two detachable and two fixed-grip chairlifts, as well as the construction of two lodges. Many of the remaining core lifts at Killington and Pico date back to the 1980s.

According to the Storm Skiing Journal, POWDR is planning to sell three more of its ski areas in the near future as it realigns its portfolio.

Killington and Pico will remain on the Ikon Pass this winter.
