Following a slew of recent corporate acquisitions, new general managers have been named at Okemo, Ragged, and Sunapee.
Vail Resorts has transferred Doug Pierini from Kirkwood to Okemo to take over as general manager, while Bruce Schmidt has been transferred to Sunapee, taking over for Jay Gamble. Schmidt, a Lyndon State graduate, had been general manager at Okemo since 2004, while Gamble, a Clemson graduate, had been general manager at Sunapee since the Mueller family first leased the area in 1998.
Meanwhile, Pacific Group transferred Ryan Schramm to run Powderhorn, which the company recently leased.
