Robert "Bob" Dunn passed away on April 18 at the age of 95.
A veteran of the Army Air Corps during the World War II and Korea era, Dunn attended Boston University and taught high school before starting work at Boston Hill. He soon became manager of the ski area, developing a relationship with the Tropeanos and Larchmont Engineering that fostered new snowmaking technologies.
Circa 1962, Dunn became an owner of Boston Hill and started the popular Boston Globe Ski Clinics series, which introduced countless Eastern Massachusetts children to the sport.
Dunn was part of an ownership group that acquired Ragged Mountain in 1974. After his time at Boston Hill and Ragged, Dunn became ski school director at Bretton Woods.
Dunn was also involved with alpine slides and the Hall Ski-Lift company, coordinating multiple installations of each, including at Boston Hill.
Dunn is survived by his wife of 67 years and three daughters.
