Bethlehem Express Quad

After thirty-five years of service, the Bethlehem Express Quad at Bretton Woods will be replaced with a new high speed quad.

As first reported on LiftBlog, a new Leitner Poma high speed quad will be installed this off-season. According to the New Hampshire Tramway Board March meeting minutes, the new lift will be called the BEQ2. LiftBlog also reports that Fabyan's Triple will be removed.

Bethlehem Express Quad

A 1989 Doppelmayr, the Bethlehem Express Quad became the oldest detachable chairlift in New Hampshire following Waterville's White Peaks Quad replacement in 2022. The lift climbs 1,010 vertical feet over a run of 4,900 feet.

Fabyan's Triple, a 1983 Doppelmayr, has been largely relegated to auxiliary status since the resort introduced its fleet of detachable lifts. The lift was slightly truncated in 2019 to make way for the Skyway Gondola.

With the replacement, the entire lift fleet at Bretton Woods will be from the year 2000 or later. The new lift will be the only one in the fleet not of Doppelmayr-Garaventa-CTEC lineage.
