Construction is at various stages for eight lift projects slated to be built in New England this year.
Wachusett
Wachusett has already removed the Polar Express Quad to make way for a new Doppelmayr high speed six pack. Many components have already been delivered for the project.
Bretton Woods
Similarly, the Bethlehem Express Quad has been removed at Bretton Woods and much of the new Leitner-Poma lift has been delivered. Multiple footings have been poured for the new detachable quad.
Pats Peak
Like Wachusett and Bretton Woods, Pats Peak has also removed the Hurricane Triple. Significant clearing and excavation is taking place in the base area so that the terminal of the new lift can be at an elevation similar to that of the Peak Triple. Many footings were poured last year. The fixed grip quad will have a new SkyTrac terminal with Garaventa-CTEC towers and chairs from the former Lake Compounce lift.
Waterville Valley
Waterville Valley has performed initial excavation for the top terminal of its new T-Bar. The MND lift will run parallel to the bubble six pack to the base of the Chute. The shorter World Cup T-Bar has been removed.
Elsewhere in New England, Titcomb has removed its #2 T-Bar and has three-phase electric distribution lines being installed for its replacement, while Killington has removed the Superstar Quad to make way for the new six pack. There is no visible construction underway thus far for the Gateway Gondola at Loon.
