A 17-year-old sustained minor injuries last night when a gondola cabin fell off the Sunday River Chondola.

According to a statement issued by Sunday River, the lift was being unloaded at half speed due to high winds when a gondola cabin had a "misfeed" at the top terminal, falling 10 feet. The injured teenager was transported to a ski patrol facility and released.

As of Thursday evening, the lift is still listed as closed.

Installed by Doppelmayr in 2008, the combination 8-person gondola 6-person chairlift is the only of its type in New England.
