An upgrade of the Spruce Peak Triple leads $5 million in projects underway at Sunday River for the 2014-15 season.

The only lift serving the Spruce Peak trail pod, the Spruce Peak Triple was installed by Borvig in 1986. According to Sunday River, a conveyor loading system will be installed to allow the lift to operate 20% faster. A similar set up was installed at Shawnee Peak in 2010. It is not known if the drive or tensioning (currently a bottom counterweight) will be upgraded.

In addition to the lift project, Sunday River will be adding more snowguns, as well as 10 more acres of glades on Barker Mountain.
