A chair reportedly fell from the haul rope today at Attitash, injuring a passenger.

According to LiftBlog, a Flying Bear Express chair fell near tower 5 this afternoon, sending the passenger to the hospital. LiftBlog has posted photos of the incident.

The Flying Bear Express was installed by Doppelmayr on the Bear Peak side of Attitash in 1995. The lift is now listed as closed on Attitash's lift status page. Without the lift, the summit of Bear Peak is inaccessible.

A chair fell from the Snowcat lift at sister area Wildcat in 2022, also resulting in a hospitalization. Vail Resorts acquired Attitash and Wildcat as part of the Peak Resorts portfolio in 2019.
