New lifts are standing up across New England as crews race to get as much work done as possible before the snow flies.
The top terminal footing for Ski Sundown's new SkyTrac quad is now standing. Equipped with a loading carpet, the fixed grip lift replaces a 1977 Borvig triple.
Many hours to the north, Big Rock has the first new lift with a spliced haul rope. A new Doppelmayr fixed grip quad will serve the main mountain while the North Star Double, a 1970s Mueller, will remain in place in the interim.
Lost Valley has not posted any recent updates on its Chair 3 construction.
Pleasant Mountain's new high speed quad towers are now standing. The former Jordan Bowl Express has been significantly refurbished for the installation. The lift replaces the CTEC loading carpet Summit Express Triple.
Towers are also standing for Sugarbush's new Heaven's Gate lift. The new Doppelmayr fixed grip quad will be augmented with a loading carpet and regraded top terminal area.
