The oldest triple chairlift in Connecticut is set to be removed this summer, as Ski Sundown has announced the replacement of the Exhibition Triple. Installed in 1977, the Borvig triple serves the main mountain, climbing 554 vertical feet over a run of 1,993 feet.
According to Ski Sundown's announcement yesterday, a 90-chair SkyTrac quad will be augmented with a loading carpet to allow for up to 450-feet-per-minute operation, providing summit access in 4.5 minutes.

The Exhibition Triple is scheduled to close following Ski Sundown's last day of operations this season, March 24.
Located in New Hartford, Connecticut, Ski Sundown was originally founded as Satan's Ridge in 1963. In addition to the Exhibition Triple and the CTEC Triple Barrel, Ski Sundown also has a 1980 Borvig serving a beginner complex.
