A quiet start to the off-season has transitioned into yet another busy fall at Waterville Valley Resort.
The High Country snowmaking project is nearing completion, as Waterville Valley joins Saddleback in having a high elevation fan gun installation. The high-speed T-Bar served complex will now be covered by at least 10 SMI Super Polecat fan guns, as well as a fleet of carriage mounted guns.
At the base of the mountain, the T-Bars building and the main lodge are a hotbed of activity. The WVBBTS "Raise the Roofs" project continues, which will provide improved space and facilities for the group. Significant work has been undertaken near the entrance of the main lodge.
Meanwhile, initial construction for the new high speed six person bubble chair is progressing. Footings for the new MND Ropeways lift are being poured now with an projected completion in time for the 2022-23 season. The multi-year construction schedule is necessitated due to Bicknell's Thrush restrictions.
