Proposed Nordic Parking Lot

Just weeks after receiving Vermont Act 250 approval for a 140 space parking lot near the gondola, Vail Resorts has applied to construct a new lot near the Toll House base area.

Located at the former septic facility field, the new lot would be an expansion of the existing touring center parking area adjacent to the Stowe Derby ski trail. The new parking area would accommodate 200 staff vehicles on weekends and holidays, freeing up parking spots closer to the alpine ski area.

Meanwhile, though Vail has yet to release retail day ticket prices for Stowe, group day ticket rates have increased by 3%. Last season, a retail lift ticket was $124, the highest in New England ski history.

Vail Resorts acquired Stowe earlier this year for $41 million, making the Vermont resort its first east coast offering on its Epic Pass. 650,000 Epic Passes were sold for the 2016-17 season.
