According to the New England Lost Ski Areas Project (NELSAP), Waterville Valley will be opening its Snow's Mountain ski area for one day of skiing on Friday, February 27. NELSAP founder Jeremy Davis will be giving a presentation amongst other related festivities. There is a chance the ski area could operate on future special event days.
Home of the original Waterville Valley ski area in 1941, the 600 vertical foot Snow's Mountain became chairlift served in 1974-75. While the area often operated on weekends, holiday weeks, and nights, no alpine skiing has been offered since Booth Creek purchased the ski area in 1996. The Sununu family purchased Waterville Valley ski area in 2010.
UPDATE: The reopening may be for Waterville Valley season passholders only, and may be Saturday, February 28.
