With the opening of its mountain coaster quickly approaching, Berkshire East Ski Resort has announced its next non-ski venture. Four years after participating in the development of the Charlemont Trails biking network, Berkshire East will be constructing a downhill biking park.
The massive park will be designed by Gravity Logic, a Canadian company that has built parks throughout the world. The Berkshire East development is rumored to be the largest in the Northeast and is expected to open in 2015.
Downhill biking trails for all abilities will be constructed, serviced by the new Summit Quad chairlift. Lessons, rentals, and tours will also be offered. The trail network will also be connected to the 35 mile Charlemont Trails complex.
In addition to the bike park, another Berkshire East business venture is expected to be announced in the near future.
