Wildcat Gondola

The gondola era is coming to an end at Wildcat, as the summer sightseeing cabins are set to be auctioned.

The Wildcat Express was installed by Doppelmayr in 1997 parallel to the original 1957 Wildcat Gondola. Used gondola cabins were added to the new lift for the summer of 2000, reportedly from Sulphur Mountain in Banff, Canada. The cabins likely date back to the early 1980s.

The gondola cabins have not been in use since the summer of 2019. Subsequent summer sightseeing has used quad chairs.

The cabins are set to be auctioned in September with proceeds to benefit the EpicPromise Employee Foundation and Northern Human Services.
