Despite mild, rainy weather this week, ski areas across New England have stockpiled enough man made snow to allow for pre-Thanksgiving turns.
Though some ski areas had their earliest openings on record, fewer ski areas are in operation this weekend than one year ago, due to this year's late Thanksgiving. Ski areas making their debut this week include Mohawk, Jay Peak, Okemo, Stratton, Stowe, Sugarbush, Cannon, and Waterville Valley.
