Granite Gorge is scheduled to head to the auction block on July 8, as Hampshire First Bank has triggered the power of sale clause in its mortgage.

The property includes the 146 acre ski area and its 3,839 square foot lodge. It is not known if the lifts or equipment are subject to the auction. James R. St. Jean Auctioneers have been selected to handle bidding.

The State of New Hampshire also recently announced potential fines of up to $24,000 related to summer camp violations at Granite Gorge.

Located on Route 9 east of Keene, Granite Gorge was opened on the site of the defunct Pinnacle ski area in 2003. A refurbished Borvig double chairlift was installed for the 2005-06 season. 2018-19 operations were scaled back to tubing and surface lift skiing.
