Driven by the loss of a small area and the growth of a reborn area, the average weekend full day adult lift ticket at a chairlift served area has increased by 10% in the Granite State. Despite the increase, New Hampshire remains the only northern New England state with no areas crossing the $100 threshold.
The Granite State lost its second cheapest area this season, as Granite Gorge suspended ski operations. Meanwhile, Tenney Mountain is planning full ski operations after offering a discounted lift ticket during its soft open late last season. Adjusted for Granite Gorge, the average lift ticket increased by 6.6%.
Bretton Woods sports the most expensive ticket in the state, increasing $6 to $99. Meanwhile, Campton Mountain is holding as the cheapest ticket in the state at $20.
Sunapee's new operator Vail Resorts does not publish ticket window rates, so January 5th window prices referenced in the online store were used.
The mean price for 2018-19 is $73.42, as compared to $67.05 in 2017-18. The median price is $79.00, a 9% increase over last season's $72.50.
