With marginal snowmaking temperatures forecasted to hit New England this weekend, ski areas in three states may fire up their snowguns.

In Maine, Sugarloaf and Sunday River have announced weekend snowmaking operations, as they both hope to remain open throughout April and into May.

In New Hampshire, Cannon, Loon, and Wildcat have announced weekend snowmaking operations. Pats Peak has snowguns ready to go if temperatures permit.

In Vermont, Mount Snow has announced weekend snowmaking operations. Killington may fire up a limited number of snowguns if temperatures warrant.

While many areas were closed during the week, skiing is set to resume in four New England states this weekend. All areas in Connecticut and Rhode Island have closed for the season.
