Investments and acquisitions are continuing at the ever-growing Hermitage Club, as the ownership purchased two more lodging facilities early this summer.
The acquisition of the 16-room The White House Inn, constructed in Wilmington in 1915, was announced in late June. Previously leased by Hermitage Club, the property will now undergo $1 million in renovations.
On July 1, the Hermitage Club announced it had acquired the Snow Goose Inn in West Dover. The 13-room facility will also be renovated.
With the new purchases, the Hermitage Club now has a large portfolio of lodging properties:
The White House Inn
Snow Goose Inn
The Inn at Sawmill Farm
Horizon Inn
Nordic Hills Lodge
Hermitage Inn
The Vermont House
The Brook Bound Lodge
In addition, the Hotel Hermitage is expected to be completed at the base of the ski area for the 2016-17 season.
Guests of the lodging facilities can ski at the private Haystack Mountain, thereby avoiding the $70,000 individual membership cost.
Haystack ski area improvements continue, as the Barnstormer Triple is being replaced with a new Doppelmayr high speed six pack bubble chairlift.
