In a recent web post, Saddleback announced it was seeking volunteer help to cut a new gladed area.
While the large Casablanca glade opened to much fanfare in the 2009-10 season, it was quickly overshadowed by the new Brackett Basin and Burnt Mountain backcountry areas at Sugarloaf.
The new glade would be cut between the Hudson Highway and Red Devil trails, which is also the area proposed for the Magalloway expansion. The total size of the glade could be nearly 70 acres.
