Saddleback Sells Large Tract of Land
Saddleback Land and Timber Corp. has sold 1,750 acres to Root Estates.

Saddleback Land and Timber Corp., a land holding company for the Berry family's Saddleback Mountain Resort, announced on May 14, 2014 that it has sold 1,750 acres to Root Estates. The new owner intends to develop recreational offerings in the tract, which includes Rock Pond and Midway Pond.
The Berry family announced in December of 2012 that the 400 acre ski area was for sale, and that they intended to retain the 7,600 surrounding acres.
