According to a Lewiston Sun Journal article, Lost Valley co-owner Lincoln Hayes reports the ski area has run deficits for each of the past ten seasons, including about $200,000 in 2013-14. Ticket sales are reportedly much lower than 1970s and 1980s levels.
Hayes is reportedly open to selling the ski area to a private or non-profit entity in order to keep it operational.
